Google Admits to Memory Problem Promises to Fix Pixel 3
Google will roll out an update to Pixel 3 to fix memory management issues “in the coming week” according to a statement given to 9to5Google.
Google’s Pixel 3, while being popular generally has been plagued by issues, most recently a weird second notch appearing.
One of its prevalent issues has been a flaw in memory management. Google admitted to the issues in a statement to 9to5Google and confirmed that they are working on a fix that will be sent out soon in a monthly security update.
Among the myriad of issues were failed saving of photos, and apps closing when photos were being taken. Google has already rolled out a fix to prevent photos not being saved.
Google confirmed that a solution will arrive “in the coming weeks” to relieve memory issues on the popular device. Particularly, a Google source said that this update will “keep background apps from being prematurely closed.”
The statement claims that the fix will relieve “certain situations,” whatever that means.
Will it be rolled out only in certain regions or certain models? Or only to relieve certain memory issues? So far, Google has not clarified.
