Garmin Tipped For Late March Launch As New Wearable Rumours Build
Garmin is expected to unveil a new wearable device within days, with multiple reports pointing to a late March announcement, although the exact product remains unclear.
Speculation intensified after well-known industry sources hinted that something notable is arriving soon. The language being used suggests a more meaningful release rather than a routine update to an existing model.
One possibility is a new fitness band, widely referred to as the CIRQA Smart Band. The device has already surfaced briefly on Garmin’s Canadian website and later appeared in regulatory filings, both of which typically indicate a product is nearing release. However, there are conflicting reports around its timing. Some sources suggest it may not launch until the second quarter of 2026, potentially pushing it to May or June and casting doubt on an immediate announcement.
That uncertainty has shifted attention to another potential release, a new running watch that could sit below Garmin’s premium range. Early rumours point to a successor to the Forerunner 165, possibly arriving as a new mid-tier model. If accurate, it would follow relatively soon after Garmin’s recent updates to its higher-end Forerunner line-up.

Details around specifications and features remain limited for both devices. However, the suggestion of a “significant” release indicates Garmin may be preparing something more substantial than a minor refresh.
All indications currently point to the week beginning March 23 as the likely window for an announcement. Whether Garmin introduces a new fitness band or expands its running watch portfolio, it appears the company is preparing to reveal its next wearable in the near term.
