A new leak has given us our clearest look yet at the colour options for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. Fans hoping for a bold orange flagship may be left disappointed.

Images shared by well-known leaker Ice Universe appear to show the SIM trays for the Galaxy S26 Ultra in four finishes: black, white, blue and purple.

As Samsung colour-matches the SIM tray to the phone’s frame, these leaks are usually a reliable indicator of the final retail colours.

Notably absent is the much-rumoured orange option, which earlier leaks suggested could be Samsung’s “hero” colour for 2026, possibly inspired by Apple’s recent orange iPhone 17 Pro finishes.

Another tipster, Ahmed Qwaider, now claims that purple (or violet) will instead be Samsung’s headline colour for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

That doesn’t necessarily mean orange is dead. Samsung often keeps a few special finishes as online-only exclusives through its own store, so it’s still possible an orange Galaxy S26 Ultra could appear in limited form after launch.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has already been at the centre of a long list of leaks.

Rumours suggest it will get a next-generation CoE OLED display with Samsung’s new ‘Privacy Display‘ Flex Magic Pixel tech, a slimmer and lighter body with rounder corners, a redesigned rear camera layout, faster 60W charging, and a switch from titanium to aluminium.

Camera rumours have been mixed, with some reports suggesting Samsung could adopt a huge new 200MP Sony sensor, while others claim it will stick with largely the same setup, aside from a long-overdue upgrade to the 3x telephoto lens. The phone is also tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and keep its 5,000mAh battery.

Samsung is also widely expected to stick with three models: Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra.

As for timing, multiple reports point to a late February unveiling, with devices likely going on sale in March, including in Australia.
