Samsung is pushing to embed Galaxy AI across its entire ecosystem, with plans to bring the suite of smart features to 400 million devices by the end of 2025 – double last year’s total.

Announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, the expansion reflects Samsung’s ambition to make mobile AI mainstream beyond phones to include tablets, foldables, wearables and upcoming XR headsets.

Even the much-anticipated tri-fold smartphone, expected to launch later this year, will be Galaxy AI-enabled.

Galaxy AI first debuted with the Galaxy S24 series in early 2024 and quickly expanded across the Fold6, Flip6, Tab S10, and now the new Fold7 and Flip7.

Mid-range models like the Galaxy A35, A55, and others are also gaining ‘Awesome Intelligence’ – a lightweight version of Galaxy AI that includes features like real-time translation and voice-assisted commands.

Key tools in the current Galaxy AI suite include Interpreter Mode, Selfie Studio and smart multitasking capabilities, all powered by One UI 8 and Android 16.

Samsung says its goal is to make AI “seamless, secure, and accessible,” even on older devices where hardware allows.

Samsung’s mobile chief Roh Tae-moon confirmed the 400 million target and that all Galaxy AI features will remain free through 2025.

Beyond that, however, he acknowledged that the future of pricing is undecided and could involve partner discussions, hinting that some premium tools may sit behind a paywall starting with future models like the Galaxy S26.

Internal research cited by Samsung shows that nearly half of users now rely on AI daily, with voice commands nearly matching traditional inputs in usage frequency.
