Foxtel Group has announced a major expansion of its partnership with Mineral Resources, confirming that the company will roll out FOXTEL’s Business iQ device and the full at-home viewing experience across MinRes’ 3,000 room onsite accommodation network.

Under the upgraded agreement, workers staying in Mineral Resources’ facilities will gain access to FOXTEL’s extensive line-up of live and on-demand sport and entertainment. The offering includes top tier events like cricket, AFL, NRL, Formula One and Supercars, along with global hit series such as Colin From Accounts, The Day of the Jackal, All Her Fault and Mix Tape. The partnership aims to improve comfort, connectivity and wellbeing for employees at remote sites while showcasing Foxtel Group’s commitment to custom solutions for large-scale accommodation environments.

Thanks to FOXTEL’s satellite technology, the platform can deliver content across vast distances from regional hubs that would otherwise struggle with limited bandwidth. This network provides an efficient way to transmit premium sport and entertainment in high quality, including formats up to 4K Ultra HD.

Steve O’Connor, Managing Director of Foxtel Retail, Wholesale and Commercial, said the partnership marks an important milestone. “FOXTEL is thrilled to expand our long-term partnership with MinRes and bring Business iQ to their 3000 plus mining accommodation rooms and camp leisure areas. This shared investment will keep Australia’s most remote workers connected with the best live televised sports and FOXTEL’s full news and entertainment services, and enables MinRes to utilise screens for all staff communication and training needs via our Business iQ platform and easy to use cloud-based operating system.”

FOXTEL Business iQ includes all FOXTEL channels, the full on-demand library, built-in casting from personal devices and a communication system that allows employers to integrate custom messaging, safety information and site updates. Each room will be equipped with a discreet slimline device located behind the television, delivering HD quality and a smooth viewing experience designed to make remote workers feel more at home while supporting wellbeing and engagement.

Scott Randall, Commercial Manager at Mineral Resources, said the enhanced entertainment offering reinforces the company’s focus on its people. “Our people are at the centre of everything we do, and this partnership with Foxtel Group is one of the ways we are reimagining what life on site can be. Foxtel Business iQ delivers the comfort, entertainment and connection of home into our villages, supporting wellbeing and helping us attract and retain the best people.”

The deployment builds on other recent Business iQ integrations, including agreements with The Star Entertainment Group and a growing number of independent and regional motels. Business iQ continues to position itself as a strong solution for all accommodation categories.

More than 60,000 rooms across Australian commercial properties now rely on FOXTEL Business iQ to access premium sport and entertainment content. The platform is purpose-built for multi-occupancy sites and replicates the best of the Foxtel at-home experience for guests, residents, staff and customers.
