Sydney’s Laptop Outlet Goes Into Administation
According to online insolvency records, The Laptop Factory Outlet Pty Ltd 524 went into voluntary administration on July 07.
The outlet based in South Granville, NSW sold ultrabooks, desktops as well as laptops for under $500 and ran the Laptop Factory Outlet Everyday Price Match promo. It sold brands including HP, Acer, Asus and Toshiba and recently held a EOFY sale ending on 30 June.
The retailer’s website lfo.com.au is currently inaccessible and is not answering calls. The reason for the collapse is unknown, although it is likely the increasingly competitive market and a decline in PC demand may have contributed.
Riad Tayeh from insolvency firm deVries Tayeh has been appointed as administrator, based in Parramatta.
The Laptop Factory was not available for comment at the time of writing.
The retailer last updated its Facebook account on June 19.
