Yes folks, owners of Galaxy S3, S4, and Note II will be the first to download Jay-Z new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’, for free. The “revolutionary” move should give the Korean brand some major kudos and cool factor among Gen-Y (and Gen X – Mr Carter is pushing on, after all), although Jay-Z is not the first artist to hook up with a tech company.
The “Jay-Z + Samsung Galaxy” collaboration was announced at the NBA Finals overnight in the US.
One of the mobile giant’s branding tags was “Samsung, breaking new ground.”
However, the “revolutionary” new recording from Jay -Z, who has not released an album in four years, will be unleashed to Samsung-ers on 4th July Independence Day at 12.01 (ET US time) – 72 hours before it goes on public release, for the first million downloads only.
All you have to do is download the Magna Carta app, which hits Google Play on July 24.
