Dyson Unveils Compact Wearable Fan For Personal Cooling
Dyson is expanding its product range once again, this time with a compact personal cooling device designed for use on the go. The new handheld fan is built around the company’s long-standing work in airflow engineering, bringing its motor and air projection technology into a much smaller format.
The device is designed for flexibility, allowing it to be held, worn around the neck or placed on a desk. Its compact size, measuring just 38mm across, makes it closer to a portable accessory than a traditional fan.

At its core is a high-speed brushless motor capable of reaching 65,000 revolutions per minute. This powers multiple airflow settings, including a boost mode for stronger cooling when needed. The airflow is directed through a specially designed nozzle intended to reduce noise and create a smoother stream of air.
Additional accessories include a neck mount, charging stand and travel pouch, with optional attachments for use on items such as bags or prams.
With an expected price of $169, the product sits well above standard handheld fans. Its appeal will likely depend on whether users value Dyson’s engineering approach enough to justify the premium over more affordable alternatives.
