Did Nintendo Just Reveal Switch 2 Prototypes At Gamescom?
Reports have surfaced that Nintendo flashed around the new Switch 2 prototypes at Gamescom, and now the internet is abuzz that a new Nintendo Direct will go live soon.
Some tipsters believe a 2023 Nintendo Direct, a showcase of their new releases, will even be as soon as next week, but so far, the gaming giant has kept mum.
Nintendo enthusiasts hope the brand will release updates to beloved titles like Detective Pikachu Returns, Super Mario RPG, WarioWare: Move It, and even the next-generation Switch 2 portable gaming console.
During Gamescom, attendees were lucky enough to view what the updated Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks like, which is claimed to have more powerful hardware, but what kind has yet to be revealed.
There’s also been a recent post from Pyoro suggesting that fans of particular MATLAB function could be pleased with the new Direct release.
Could it be fzero within MATLAB (a programming and numeric computing platform)? It remains unclear.
After the console claims came out, however, we wonder what the latest Nintendo Switch 2 will be powered by.
Having had various versions of the console powered by an Nvidia Tegra X1 chip, gamers are curious if the console sticks to past versions, which are slower than new modern chips, or if the gaming powerhouse will partner with another chip partner.
According to GSMArena, the Nintendo Switch 2 launch could happen around late 2024, but they expect the first reveal by the company to occur before that based on past releases by Nintendo.
