Cyrus Launches 40 PPA Phono Stage for Vinyl Lovers
British brand Cyrus Audio has unveiled its new flagship phono preamplifier, the 40 PPA, completing its high-performance 40 Series.
First revealed at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show earlier this year, the 40 PPA is a successor to the brand’s Phono Signature and Classic Phono models.
This new unit supports both Moving Coil (MC) and Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges, offering serious vinyl flexibility with four configurable inputs.

Key upgrades include a fully redesigned six-layer PCB that isolates signal paths to reduce noise, and a power supply that’s 20% quieter than previous models.
Users can now adjust gain in 5dB steps, fine-tune load and capacitance, and even monitor signal levels via on-screen meters.
With balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, a ground lift switch to tackle hum, and a warp filter for taming unruly records, the 40 PPA has been engineered for high-end performance and comfort.
With a remote and touchscreen, users can fine-tune settings without leaving their seat.
Compatible with the optional Cyrus 40 PSU, the 40 PPA is housed in the sleek aluminium casing that defines the Series 40 aesthetic.
