Computer Pricing To The Rescue

Odd as it might sound, a 2.5 percent drop in the prices received for computer and electronic equipment manufacturing has helped stem a growing rise in the prices for many agriculture products as well as for electricity, gas and water supply across Australia, the Australian Bureau of Statistics has reported.

Prices in September showed a rise of just 0.3 percent, thanks at least partly to the fall in the computer systems pricing, ABS reported late last week.

Are computer and allied gear prices dropping also at the showroom floor? Alas, Stats didn’t say – but the general tip-off from salesfloor prowlers is that they’re much the same.
