Telco Complaints Down: Up At Voda

Consumer complaints about Telstra and Optus services dropped in the three months from July to September – but complaints about Vodafone services were up 3.8 percent, according to the latest report by the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.

Telstra recorded six complaints per 10,000 services, down from 6.8 for April and June, while Optus dropped from 7.7 to 7.2.

Complaints on Vodafone almost doubled – from 3.8 per 10,000 services in the April-June quarter to 6.2 for the three months July to September.

A TIO/Communications Alliance report said the overall July-September reduction was driven by improvements in the number of complaints per SIO for both Telstra and Optus.
