Clarke Quits Active Audio For Growth Business Role At Interdyn

Weeks after denying he was on the move Audio Active General Manager Paul Clarke has walked to take on a senior role at Interdyn.

Three weeks ago, ChannelNews sent Clarke an email asking, “Are you about to leave your current employer?”

“He replied Do you know something I don’t?”

Clarke started Audio Active together with Jeremy and Richard Bouris in 2009. Since the Company has grown to be a major supplier of top end Hi Fi in Australia.

Audio Active management said “We will miss Paul’s enthusiasm and passion for the industry. We’d like to thank Paul for all his hard work and support over the years and wish him the best for his career move”.

Speaking from the Munich Hi Fi Show Clarke told ChannelNews that he was looking forward to his new role at Interdyn where he will be responsible for new business development.

According to Clarke Interdyn is looking to expand their presence in the mass retailer channel and the appointment of Clark into a new “Growth markets” role is to see the Company take on several new brands.

Prior to joining Audio Active Clarke held senior management roles at Pioneer Electronics, Castel, and JB Hi-Fi.

“Paul is one of Australia’s formidable audio-visual sales executives. We’ve maintained a good competitive relationship for five or so years now, and I’m overjoyed to be able to bring him on board. Our team has always admired his energy and ingenuity, and we can’t wait to see what we’re able to create together.”

Paul is expected to join the Interdyn team in June” said Interdyn director Sam Encel.

He added “The management at Interdyn really has a clear vision for the future of audio-visual distribution, so partnering with them was an exciting decision to make. I’ll be able to leverage their market-leading software innovations and combine them with my own experience and strategies to take Interdyn’s brands to the next level.”

Clark said “To look ahead, one also has to look back, and at this time I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the fantastic team at Audio Active for my nine years of success and fun in the market. I wish them all the best.”
