TCL, who are expanding their range of TVs in Australia, have used CES to reveal several new 2022 models, including a whopping 98” 4K model.
The world’s largest manufacturer of TVs, and often #2 in the world, TCL are well known for their TV innovations. Last year, TCL announced an “XL” TV series that aimed to offer a noticeably big 85-inch displays for prices below the likes of Hisense, Samsung, and LG.
At CES, TCL has launched a massive a new 98-inch 4K QLED TV.
Pricing and availability for Australia have not been announced.
The 98R754 comes with Google TV OS and 4K gaming at 120Hz and is tipped to be sub $12K in Australia.
The new TV has four HDMI ports, with two of them supporting 4K at 120Hz as well as eARC.
As for the rest of the TCL range, retailers can expect some serious upgrades such as refresh rate of up to 144Hz for PC gaming. This is significantly up from the standard 120Hz.
TCL also claim more sets will make the leap from 4K to 8K resolution.
The big TV Company is also “partnering with Pixelworks and other entertainment leaders to define and deploy a new motion ecosystem — TrueCut Motion — to its high-performance TV models for the first time.”
This is described as a critical component that delivers a significantly improved visual experience.
TrueCut Motion is an end-to-end solution that includes a new content delivery format and device certification program to guarantee a consistent filmmaker-approved output.
