Samsung Electronics, one of the first brands to introduce a truly portable home projector with the launch of The Freestyle in 2023, is preparing to unveil its latest evolution: the new AI-powered Freestyle+.

Building on the original Freestyle’s compact design, the Freestyle+ significantly reduces the need for manual setup and adjustment. This improvement is driven by Samsung’s new AI OptiScreen technology, which allows users to simply point the projector at a wall or ceiling and start watching almost instantly.

AI OptiScreen is a suite of intelligent features that includes 3D Auto Keystone, Real-time Focus, Screen Fit, and Wall Calibration. 3D Auto Keystone automatically corrects image distortion when projecting onto uneven surfaces, while Real-time Focus ensures the picture remains sharp even if the projector is moved or rotated. Screen Fit intelligently resizes the image to match compatible projector screens, and Wall Calibration minimizes visual distractions caused by different wall textures and colours.

Audio performance has also been enhanced. The Freestyle+ features a built-in 360-degree speaker designed to deliver immersive, rich sound from a compact form factor. With Samsung’s Q-Symphony support, the projector can also sync with compatible Samsung soundbars, creating a more layered and cohesive audio experience wherever it’s used.

In terms of brightness, the Freestyle+ delivers 430 ISO lumens—nearly double the brightness of the previous model—making it better suited for a wider range of viewing environments.

The projector retains its compact cylindrical design and 180-degree rotating structure, making it easy to carry and move between rooms. This flexible design allows projection onto walls, floors, or ceilings without the need for additional mounts or accessories.

Samsung Electronics will officially showcase the Freestyle+ at CES 2026, taking place January 6–9 in Las Vegas, with a phased global rollout planned for the first half of the year.
