Hisense launches V Home OS and unveils 116-inch RGB MiniLED flagship TV for 2026

Hisense has unveiled its most advanced television lineup to date, announcing a new V Home OS platform and a flagship 116-inch RGB MiniLED TV that will arrive in Australia as part of its 2026 range.

Unlike the USA Hisense is sticking to a reengineered VIDAA OS that is now called V Home, designed to compete with LG’s Web OS and Samsung’s Tizen Hisense is also looking to sell advertising on their new platform which Australia will get as opposed to Google TV what Hisense USA are using in their TV’s.

Revealed at CES 2026, the lineup is led by the new 116UXS, a next-generation 116-inch TV featuring Hisense’s latest RGB MiniLED evo technology. The new display introduces an industry-first sky blue–cyan fourth LED in the backlight, designed to expand the colour spectrum and improve wavelength-level precision for more lifelike colour reproduction, smoother gradients and more natural tonal transitions.

The 116UXS is powered by Hisense’s proprietary dual-chip architecture, combining an AI-driven picture processing chip with a dedicated RGB MiniLED control chip. This enables precise, synchronised control of colour and brightness, delivering improved scene adaptation, enhanced image perception and more consistent picture quality across different viewing environments.

Key features of the 116UXS include advanced anti-glare matte technology for improved performance in bright rooms, and a Devialet-tuned 6.2.2 CineStage X Surround audio system designed to deliver immersive, room-filling sound.

Alongside the flagship model, Hisense also announced its broader 2026 TV portfolio, including the new UR Series, which expands RGB MiniLED technology across more screen sizes, refreshed ULED models, and the latest CanvasTV range. CanvasTV combines display technology with interior design, transforming into an artwork-style feature when not in use.

Hisense says its RGB MiniLED technology represents a generational leap over traditional MiniLED displays, which rely on filtered white or blue LEDs. By using individually controlled red, green and blue LEDs, the system eliminates the need for a colour filter layer, improving colour accuracy, contrast and efficiency, with energy consumption reduced by up to 20%. The addition of the cyan LED in RGB MiniLED evo further enhances colour nuance, particularly in areas where the human eye is most sensitive.

For gamers, selected 2026 models in the UR Series will support Game Mode Ultra with refresh rates of up to 180Hz, delivering smoother motion and faster responsiveness for next-generation gaming.

On the software side, Hisense announced that VIDAA OS will transition to V Home OS in 2026. The new platform will support a strategic partnership with Microsoft, bringing Copilot generative AI features to Hisense TVs. The collaboration also extends to Xbox cloud gaming, allowing users to stream games directly to their TVs without the need for a console.

Hisense Australia and New Zealand managing director Kevin Ke said the expanded 2026 lineup reinforces the company’s focus on display innovation and shared entertainment experiences in the home.

Australian pricing and availability for Hisense’s 2026 TV range will be announced closer to launch.
