Bose has unveiled its latest portable Bluetooth speaker, the SoundLink Home, set for global release on 11 September.

Designed with a minimalist aesthetic and premium materials, the speaker combines anodised aluminium with a fabric grille, aiming to deliver “crisp, clear audio with enough bass to fill any room.”

While it’s portable enough to carry around, the SoundLink Home is clearly pitched as a home-first speaker.

The device offers Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, up to nine hours of battery life, and even a USB-C audio input for wired playback from laptops or smartphones.

A built-in microphone supports voice calls and access to your phone’s voice assistant, while Stereo Mode allows pairing two units for left-right channel sound.

Available in Light Silver, Cool Grey, and Warm Wood finishes, the SoundLink Home will retail for $229 USD (A$349).

SoundLink Plus

The SoundLink Home has already drawn praise overseas for its design and rich sound, especially with vocals and acoustic instruments. With no water or dust resistance, it’s best suited to living rooms, offices and covered patios.

For those after something smaller and tougher, Bose also recently announced the launch of two new Bluetooth speakers targeting the summer market, the SoundLink Plus and SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen).

Bose hasn’t forgotten its flagship earbuds either. The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) now feature SpeechClarity – a proprietary AI-powered upgrade promising “Bose’s best call quality yet.” The update is available now via the Bose Music app.
