Australians can now use YouTube Music on select WiiM devices, the global tech company has announced.

The integration, rolling out this month, brings access to over 100 million tracks, including curated playlists, remixes and live performances directly to WiiM streamers and amplifiers.

The rollout begins with the Ultra and Amp Ultra models, with other devices in the WiiM ecosystem gaining access over the coming weeks.

Andrew McGregor, WiiM Australia Partner Manager said: “Australians love YouTube Music which accounts for around 20% of streaming services locally. Its another testament to WiiM’s commitment to their community, with continuous integrations and updates driven by user feedback.”

Supported devices include:

  • WiiM streamers: Pro, Pro Plus, Ultra (excluding WiiM Mini)
  • WiiM amplifiers: Amp, Amp Pro, Amp Ultra
  • CI MOD S and CI MOD A80
  • WiiM Edition Audio Pro: coming in a future update

The WiiM Mini is not supported due to hardware limitations.

The integration works through the WiiM Home app, allowing users to control YouTube Music seamlessly alongside existing features such as voice control, EQ adjustments, stereo pairing, remote operation and room grouping.

To use YouTube Music on WiiM, a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscription is required.

Users need to update their WiiM Home app and device firmware, then link their account to access the update.

WiiM will showcase its latest range and integrations at the StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Show, taking place from 29–31 August at Pullman Mercure, Albert Park.
