Belkin Brings Back The Headphone Jack To iPhone

Belkin has announced a new accessory that allows iPhone owners to listen to music using a standard headphone jack while also charging and syncing their device.

The company’s 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar plugs into the Lightning connector of Apple’s latest iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, as well as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

It features a 3.5mm jack for connecting to headphones, speakers and other audio devices, as well as a Lightning connector for charging and syncing, both of which can be used at the same time.

“We’re excited to offer yet another way for iPhone owners to simultaneously charge and listen to audio using the headphones that they know and love,” says Marco Peters, vice president of product management, Belkin.

Last year, Belkin released a similar accessory called the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar that allowed iPhone owners to charge while using Lightning Audio.

“We listened to consumers who wanted a reliable way to use their existing headphones, and we took learnings from last year’s Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar to deliver what people asked for and more,” Peters said.

Belkin’s 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar is available now for RRP $49.95 at Belkin.com, Apple.com and at Apple stores worldwide.
