Beats Teams Up With Nike For Powerbeats Pro 2 Special Edition
Beats has introduced a new Nike-branded version of its Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earbuds, bringing a bold design update while keeping the underlying features unchanged.
The special edition model arrives in Nike’s bright Volt colour, with branding split across the earbuds. One side features the Nike swoosh, while the other carries the Beats logo. The charging case follows a similar theme, finished in black with Volt flecks and featuring Nike’s “Just Do It” slogan printed inside the lid.
Beyond the visual changes, the earbuds offer the same performance and functionality as the standard Powerbeats Pro 2. This includes Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling and a Transparency mode similar to Apple’s AirPods Pro range.
The earbuds also include built-in heart rate monitoring, which can connect with fitness platforms such as the Apple Fitness app and Nike Run Club. Battery life is rated at up to 45 hours when combined with the charging case.
Designed with active users in mind, the Powerbeats Pro 2 feature ear hooks to help keep them secure during movement and exercise. They also carry an IPX4 rating for resistance to sweat and light water exposure.
To promote the release, Beats and Nike have launched a campaign featuring basketball player LeBron James, who has a long-standing association with the brand.
While the collaboration highlights the connection between sport and audio, the update is primarily cosmetic rather than a hardware upgrade. Nike has previously partnered with Apple and Beats on products, although such collaborations have been relatively limited in recent years.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition will be available from March 20, priced at approximately A$383 through Apple’s online store.
