Apple Upscale iCloud With New 2TB Tier

Apple have stepped up their iCloud service, with a new storage tier offering two terabytes of online storage for $AU29.99 a month.

The move should prove a grail for data-heavy iPhone users and serves to fuel further speculation that the new iPhone will feature a variant with 256GB internal storage.

All the pre-existing tiers of iCloud subscriptions remain intact, from the $1.49 50GB plan to the $14.99 1TB plan.

It also brings them puts them a little bit above competitor Google, who offer 1TB and 10TB options through Google Drive at $10 and $100 pricepoints.

Users looking to upgrade their iCloud plan can do so from today.
