Roku has announced the launch of the Apple TV app on its US streaming devices ahead of the Apple TV+ streaming debut on 1 November.

Available now in selected countries through the Roku channel store, users will be able to access 4K and HD content purchases through iTunes, as well as all the Apple TV Channels and originals expected from the launch on 1 November.

Unfortunately, at the time of publishing, the Apple TV app has not been rolled out to Australian Roku models.

Apple has been systematically pushing its streaming app across multiple devices, with Samsung already including it on its Smart TVs, and will soon be ported to Vizio, LG and Sony in the future.

By adding the application to more devices, Apple has increased the number of channels which users can access Apple content without having to pay up for an Apple TV device.

Cheaper alternatives like the Roku streaming box, already used by Telstra for its streaming system, plus the eventual implementation on Amazon Fire TV sticks, will bring more eyeballs to Apple content as the application spreads to more devices.
