Apple Orders 20% Increase In 2021 iPhone Production

Apple has tasked its suppliers with building 90 million next-generation iPhones this year, a 20 per cent leap from its 2020 iPhone shipments.

This comes in the midst of continued demand for last year’s iPhone 12, and the release of 13 later this year, which insiders are claiming is a less drastic leap than the 12 was to the 11 – with minor tweaks to processor power, display upgrades, and an improved camera.

Four versions are expected, a 5.4 inch and 6.1 inch iPhone 13, and 6.1 inch and 6.7 inch Pro models.

The phones are expected to be officially announced in September.
