Apple Launches Creator Studio Subscription Bringing Pro Creative Tools Into One Bundle
Apple has announced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription service that brings together a wide range of the company’s professional creative apps into a single package aimed at video makers, musicians, designers and everyday content creators. The service builds on the role Mac, iPad and iPhone already play in creative work, combining familiar tools with new intelligent features and shared access across devices.
Apple Creator Studio includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro for Mac and iPad, alongside Motion, Compressor and MainStage on Mac. Subscribers also gain access to premium content and new intelligent features in Keynote, Pages and Numbers, with Freeform set to join later this year. The idea is to offer a consistent creative environment across hardware, rather than requiring users to purchase and manage individual apps.
Final Cut Pro receives a set of new tools focused on speed and searchability. Transcript Search allows editors to locate specific spoken phrases across hours of footage, while Visual Search can identify clips based on objects or actions. Beat Detection, powered by Logic Pro technology, analyses music tracks and displays beats and bars directly in the editing timeline, making it easier to cut video in sync with music. On iPad, a new Montage Maker uses AI to assemble short edits automatically from selected footage, with options to adjust pacing, music and framing for social platforms.

Logic Pro for Mac and iPad also gains new AI-driven tools. Synth Player joins the Session Player line-up, generating electronic performances that respond to user input such as intensity and complexity. Chord ID can analyse audio or MIDI recordings and convert them into editable chord progressions, reducing the need for manual transcription. Updates also expand the Sound Library with new royalty-free content and bring advanced features such as Quick Swipe Comping to Logic Pro on iPad.
Pixelmator Pro is now available on iPad for the first time, with a touch-optimised interface and full Apple Pencil support. The app includes tools for photo editing, illustration and layout design, along with features such as Super Resolution image upscaling, Auto Crop composition suggestions and advanced masking. Apple Creator Studio subscribers also gain access to new Warp tools and product mock-ups across both Mac and iPad versions.
The subscription extends beyond media creation into productivity. Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform receive new premium templates, visual assets and intelligent features through a shared Content Hub. Some features, currently in beta, include generating presentation drafts from text outlines and creating formulas in spreadsheets using pattern recognition. Generative image tools, including text-to-image creation and image transformation, are also available, drawing on both on-device AI and external models.
Apple Creator Studio is available via the App Store for $A19.99 per month or $A199 per year, including a one-month free trial. University students and educators can subscribe for $A4.99 per month or $A49 per year. Up to six family members can share access through Family Sharing. For users who prefer ownership, one-time purchases of individual Mac apps remain available, including Final Cut Pro for $A499.99, Logic Pro for $A299.99 and Pixelmator Pro for $A79.99.
With this move, Apple is shifting its creative software strategy towards a bundled model that lowers the entry cost for professional-grade tools, while continuing to support standalone purchases for long-term users.
