Apple ‘AirPods Studio’ Headphones Delayed, New AirPods Coming 2021

Apple’s much acclaimed over-ear ‘AirPods Studio’ headphones have reportedly been delayed over design issues. It follows reports a successor to the AirPods and AirPods Pro will launch next year.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is set to incorporate changeable tips to next year’s standard AirPods, however, noise cancellation won’t be added.

Enhanced battery life is also tipped to be deployed onto the base model earbuds.

The forthcoming Apple AirPods Pro will reportedly gain a more rounder design, potentially axing the ‘stem’ for a smaller chassis too.

Reports claim Apple is currently battling design changes, as it seeks to incorporate more hardware into a smaller build.

Design challenges relating to the forthcoming over-ear AirPods Studio reportedly relate to the tightness of the headband during testing.

Swappable earpads are dubbed to still be part of the product, with an interchangeable headband said to be ditched.

Bloomberg sources also suggest Apple is developing a product to fill the market gap between the HomePod and smaller HomePod mini smart speaker.
