High-end home audio manufacturer Anthem has released an update to its advanced room correction software.
ARC Genesis is the latest update to the Canadian company’s ARC (Anthem Room Correction) software, which uses a calibration microphone to determine a room’s unique characteristics.
Standing waves, resonances and reflections caused by room size and shape, its construction, and the furniture in it are analysed by Anthem’s proprietary algorithm.
Custom correction curves are then used to program the hardware’s digital signal processors to tailor sound to individual rooms.
ARC Genesis includes new target curve adjustment options at both extreme ends of the frequency spectrum, an improved user interface and algorithms, and automatic speaker/subwoofer phase alignment for Anthem STR amplifiers.
Users can also set unique maximum correction frequencies for each set of speakers and save and pause measurements, as well as remeasure individual speakers.
The software is now available for download for Mac and Windows users via the Anthem Arc website and is compatible with selected Anthem, Paradigm and MartinLogan products.
