Android 14 Launch To Happen In 24 Hours
The release of the Android 14 and the launch of Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro has been rumoured to be October 4th, but there has not been concrete until now.
It cannot be 100% confirmed, but Canadian carrier Telus listed their software update rollouts of when the start of when certain devices would be sold and grouped with all Pixel products beginning with the Pixel 4a, “Android U” was underlined with an October 4th release date.
“Android U” means Android Upside Down Cake and is the internal moniker for Android 14, according to GSMArena.
Since this information was found and circulated online, however, the Pixel listings that were said to get the Android 14 update on October 4th don’t anymore.
Speculation points to an employee at Google who saw the information was made public, and couriers, including Telus were then asked to remove the information, which they did.
This information cannot be confirmed now, but it will be soon if the Android 14 actually does go live tomorrow. More to come.
