Amazon Tipped To Etch Western Sydney Depot

E-commerce behemoth, Amazon, is tipped to etch a second Sydney depot, this time within the hotly anticipated ‘Oakdale West’ development – set to be the largest segment of industrial-approved land in Western Sydney.

Reported by The Australianthe estate is being developed by Goodman and Brickworks with supermarket giant, Coles, also slated to move in.

Once completed, the precinct is forecast to bring around 1,800 jobs to the area, enhanced by the rumoured arrival of Amazon.

The facility would be Amazon’s second distribution centre in Sydney, complementing its 43,000 sqm fulfilment depot in Sydney’s southwest Moorebank.

Amazon’s NSW Moorebank presence is nearly double the size of its VIC Dandenong South Melbourne outlet.

The news comes after Amazon announced its recent Prime Day sale surpassed all previous Australian sales events, with a record number of Prime shoppers.
