Amazon Employees Get Up To $5K For Quitting

Amazon employees who quit their job will be handed $5000 but it means they can never work there again.

According to CNBC, the online behemoth adopted this code of practice to keep the employees that want to stay.

An Amazon spokesperson told the news outlet, ‘In the long-term, staying somewhere you don’t want to be isn’t healthy for our employees or for the company.’

Those who have worked for the company for a year will get $2000 with the offer increasing $1000 every year, with the maximum amount being $5000.

Jeff Bezos CEO at Amazon has told his employees via a memo that he does not want his employees to take the offer.

This program originally came from US shoe retailer Zappos, which Amazon bought in 2009.
