Jabra’s Supreme UC headset is the first mono headset launched by the company that is compatible with Active Noise Cancellation technology, conscientiously blocking out noisy backgrounds to improve the quality of a phone call.
In addition to being compatible with smartphones and tablets, Jabra claims it works with leading UC applications, including those offered by Microsoft, Cisco, Siemens, Avaya and Skype.
Jabra developed the headset with the rising mobile workforce in mind, turning to IDC figures that indicate mobile employees will account for 37.2% of the workforce by 2015.
“As the workforce continues to move towards mobility, both inside and outside of the office, Jabra is focusing on making communicating on the go as productive and seamless as possible,” Jabra’s Managing Director, Fulvio Toniotti said.
“The mobile worker is a key customer of ours, and we want to be sure we are offering products that keep them connected wherever, and however, they please,” he added.
A nano Bluetooth adapter that is pre-paired with the headset allows users to plug it into a PC to use it for internet calls (softcalls), along with traditional mobile calls. This is managed by simply pressing a button that alternates seamlessly between the two sources.
Jabra’s Supreme UC will be available in May at an Australian RRP $179.95.
