![]() Traditionally Telstra helps Australians move home by transferring their home phone and broadband service to a new address – a service that on the whole until now has been free.
Telstra said the new TotalMove service goes beyond basics by assigning a specially trained technician to assist customers with their home technology – from setting up a home Wi-Fi network to setting up and placing their TV and sound system.
But free it ain’t, with prices ranging from $59 for self-installation and help over the phone – a service currently free -up to $499 for the Platinum TotalMove Service which will help set up most devices and services to the new home with a “dedicated” Telstra technician who will supposedly come to the home to connect them.
