Google Wireless for Nexus 6

According to the Wall Street Journal, Google’s service will work by switching between accessible Wi-Fi networks and the mobile networks of Sprint and T-Mobile.

The Nexus 6, made by Motorola – now part of Lenovo – was said by Google executives to have been “very well received when it went on sale last year”, so much so that the company underestimated demand for the device, which costs between US$650 and $700 in the US off contract.

Google executive Sundar Pichai has confirmed that Google will launch a wireless service in the USA.
