TPG Closes TransACT Call Centre

TransACT offers fibre-to-the-node and HFC cable connections in Canberra, Mildura, Ballarat and Geelong. It’s believed to have around 150,000 residential users, 5000 small-medium business customers, and around 50 state and federal government agencies.

All its Canberra call centre staff have now been made redundant, according to a posting on telecoms forum Whirlpool, later confirmed by iiNet customer service GM Mat Conn. He said the work will be handled by other call centres in Sydney, Perth and overseas.
