Huawei G8 Smartphone And MediaPad M2 Tablet Land In OzHuawei states the premium devices are targeted at the “budget-conscious consumer looking for value-for-money without sacrificing high-end features”.

The 5.5″ 1080p display G8 sports an all-metal body and is decked out with a 13 MP main camera, capable of ultra-low-light shooting, with Huawei stating a one-touch fingerprint sensor provides faster unlocking.

The “compact and travel-friendly” M2 sports an 8″ 1080p vivid colours display and is decked out with Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers, providing “advanced audio quality”. Huawei additionally states that the M2’s eye protection mode provides for relaxed reading.

“Consumers should be able to experience state-of-the-art technology features without having to spend a fortune,” Joe Weller, Huawei Australia director of sales, commented.

“The Huawei G8 and MediaPad M2 combine the best in style, connectivity and entertainment at a competitive price.”

Vodafone is offering both the G8 and M2, with Vodafone director of sales Ben McIntosh stating they “are great all-round devices that offer high-quality features without breaking the bank”.

“The G8 offers long battery life, a fingerprint scanner, a sharp screen and other premium features, proving that you don’t have to spend big to get a great smartphone,” McIntosh commented.

he G8 (dual-sim, 32 GB white) to be available from November 5 for $599 RRP from retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Dick Smith.

The M2 (16 GB, white) will be available from October 21 at Vodafone stores and online for $17 on a $20 mobile broadband plan over 24 months, with the M2 (32 GB, gold) to be available from November 5 for $499 RRP at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith and JR Duty Free.
