Half the price of a Go Pro this devices delivers the same
high quality content as a Go Pro without the complications of Go Pro, charging
is easier, the mounts are superior and the content is easily accessible via a
smartphone in seconds.

Available in three colours: white, blue and coral the device
can be purchased from Telstra, Fone Zone and Next Byte stores as of today.

The device will go on sale at consumer electronics retailers
early in 2015.

The HTC RE is a 16MP mobile camera that does everything that
a Go Pro camera does.

It looks like an asthma inhaler and can easily be held in
the hand or mounted to a bike, or your body via several mount options. On the
curve of the camera is a button which when you press once takes a still image
or if you hold the button down starts shooting a Full HD Video

It is powered by a 920mAh battery and has a microSD slot
that comes with an 8GB card already in the HTC RE, but you can use up to a 128GB

The battery is good for 1,200 photos or 100 minutes of video
which we found was superior to the Go Pro.

The camera is waterproof out of the box. Its IPX7 rating
covers it against freshwater a metre deep for thirty minutes and with a plug
attached is good for up to 9 metres or without the plug 3 metres for 2 hours.
