Zoom Phone Launches In Australia

Online video conferencing platform, Zoom, has today launched its new Zoom Phone cloud phone service in Australia, supporting local phone numbers and PSTN access with new Metered and Unlimited Calling Plans.

“Our Zoom Phone service will provide leading-edge features that will give more flexibility and control to our valued customers,” claims Oded Gal, Zoom Head of Product Development.

“Zoom Phone feature enhancements and global expansion have been a top priority for us at Zoom as we focus on building out a world-class phone system.”

Zoom Phone is a cloud phone system which is available as an add-on to Zoom’s platform.

The service offers multi-language prompt support, Office 365 and Gmail integration, plus the ability to multi-task on a mobile without dropping a call.

The phone supports inbound and outbound calling via the public switched telephone network (PSTN), with integrated telephony features encouraging customers to replace their existing PBX solution – consolidating all business communication and collaboration needs into one video platform.

Other Zoom Phone features include ‘Bring Your Own Carrier’, plus the ability to turn voice calls into video calls with a single click.

“Zoom Phone has been easy to deploy, straightforward for our team to use, and rock solid from a reliability standpoint,” claims Shane Scott, Head of Process for Illumin8.

“For our half-remote teams, it’s perfect.”
