iPhone 6 MANIA: Sept 9 Launch

A new report from strongly Apple-connected site Re/Code says the iPhone 6 is launching on Tuesday, September 9.
This will be Wednesday, September 10 for Australians due to time-zone differences, and two days in the US before the annual and solemn September 11 memorial of the New York World Trade Centre attacks.
The week’s solemnity will be disrupted by the feverish, frenzied global mania that surrounds Apple iPhone launches, especially if two new iPhone 6 models arrive at the same time, as expected.

Re/Code unsurprisingly states that Apple has declined to comment on the news, while reminding us of Apple SVP Eddy Cue statement earlier this year that Apple was launching the “best product pipeline in 25 years”.
New features are expected to include an even faster 64-bit, desktop-class A8 processor and larger screens in 4.7 and 5.5-inch sizes with higher resolutions.
We also expect new cameras with more megapixels and larger pixels that let in more light, Touch ID improvements, new sensors, new apps, iOS 8, new accessories like the iTime/iWatch, new cases and the surprise of secret new features that escaped being leaked.
Whether there will be a “one more thing…” is yet another surprise we look forward to seeing, but it will certainly be Apple’s biggest launch of 2014 to date.
