Nevo Remotes To Control Imerge and Sonos

According to Universal Electronics, the NevoStudio Pro 3.0 includes the following:

  • .Nevo Plug-ins – 2-way plug-in modules developed for and with industry leaders for seamless and efficient home integration. This wizard driven interface allows for easy customization, with the company offering various plug-ins for Imerge, iPort, Kaleidescape, Sonos, and more.
  • Nevo Widgets – A drag and drop, building block style workspace, to create widgets that can send commands and receive feedback for practically anything. The company claims that the widgets can be as simple as a visual volume level indicator or as advanced as a whole home lighting interface. It can also be exported and shared with others.
  • Enhancements such as direct control of network enabled devices like media servers, IP cameras, and AV receivers; scheduled Macros to be executed at a certain date and time; locate device commands and errors easily with the new “find in job” search feature; enhanced SuperFast Device Swap – swap devices with more flexibility and convenience; and global Flags to make macros even more powerful.

Amber Technology’s Product Manager, Andrew Richter said, “Nevo Studio Pro 3.0 takes the Nevo Pro Control products to a new level of customisation, with it’s easy to program ‘drag & drop’ widgets. In addition this new software release Nevo Studio Pro 3.0 includes the ability to add plug-in control some of the world’s most popular multi media servers.”

The new Nevo Plug-in for Sonos allows users to browse through all of the content available on the Sonos Multi-Room Music System directly on the NevoS70.  When a given media item is selected, the now playing screen shows available cover-art, elapsed time and any needed controls on Nevo’s rich color display.

The company has also announced a 2-way interface for use with Russound C-Series and E-Series multi-room audio systems. This pre-made interface is created in a collaboration effort between UEI and Russound, to establish a rich 2-way interface for their customers. The new Russound interface allows users to browse through metadata and select their desired media directly on a Nevo handheld remote.  The new interface can be easily customized to match their specific desired theme.

Finally, Universal Electronics will also release a .Nevo Plug-in for Imerge allows users to browse through all of the content available on the Imerge media server directly on NevoS70.  When a given media item is selected, the screen that’s now playing shows the cover art, the elapsed time, and any needed controls on Nevo’s rich color display.
