Windows 11 Adoption Ramping After Slow Start

After a frightening slow start for its most drastic refresh in years, Microsoft is finding that users are now adopting Windows 11 at an ever-increasing rate.

The latest figures from advertising network AdDuplex shows that 23.1 per cent of the PCs in its sample are now running Windows 11, despite it being released in early October.

This is a leap from a similar report in April that found just 19.4 per cent were running the new OS. Worst still, the February findings saw 19.3 per cent, meaning the dial barely moved over that two month period.

Historically, this isn’t a major issue.

Windows 10 took two years to hit 27 per cent, according to Statista, so maybe PC users are more hesitant to make the major OS upgrade, even if it is just a click of a button.
