Windows 10 Users Discover They Can’t Uninstall Edge

SEATTLE: Microsoft has angered some Windows 10 users by telling them they can’t uninstall the Edge browser.

Edge has had good reviews and has been compared favourably with Chrome.

Microsoft said the new version of Edge is included in a Windows system update, so the option to uninstall it or use the legacy version of Microsoft Edge is no longer be available.

W10 experts say users can’t uninstall it because it’s the only way they can download the browser if they need it.

For those who prefer another browser, Edge can be hidden, but Microsoft prefers not to make a big thing of it.
