Westan Snares Exclusive Philips Hotel TV Distribution

Westan has secured exclusive Asia Pacific distribution for Philips Hotel TVs, as the brand continues its “resurgence” in the Australian and New Zealand market in recent years.

Director of Regional Sales, Michael Carvosso, asserts a “series of unfortunate events” lead Philips Hotels TVs to fall “off the map” in Australia and New Zealand, however, uptake has significantly improved after a “revitalised” range and better distribution model.

Carvosso claims Westan has enjoyed “excellent uptake” for Philips Hotel TVs in South East Asia, opening a new Singapore office to cater to increased demand.

In Australia and New Zealand, the brand continues to post “good growth”, with Westan claiming it rolls out 3 – 4 hotel TV projects per month.

The new Singapore office is set to manage the Philips Hotel TVs’ South East Asia region, whilst Westan’s New Zealand office will cater to the Pacific Islands.

The distributor claims Philips has already secured “cornerstone deployments” for hotel TVs in Fiji and Singapore, with final discussions in play with several hotels across Philippines and Thailand.
