Victoria Flags Mandatory QR Codes In Workplaces

Victoria has flagged mandatory QR codes at all workplaces as it winds back its latest Covid lockdown.

Victoria’s Acting Premier James Merlino said masks will still be mandatory indoors and authorities are also planning to require QR codes in all workplaces.

The five-reasons-to-leave home rule will be removed and the travel limit extended from 10km to 25km.

Merlino said people would be able to return to offices in Melbourne at a 25 percent limit or a cap of 10, whichever is greater, although the Government can still ask people to work from home where possible.

He added that he wants to put QR codes on people’s radar and Victoria will be moving to make QR check-ins compulsory for most workplaces, with very limited exemptions.
