Music Lovers Freed From Wires With The BackBeat Go

Let’s face it: wires hold us back. In an age where technology is turning to voice and motion for an organic feel, wires make us feel anything but.

It makes sense then that Plantronics would ditch wiring in their new Bluetooth headphones.

They refer to the latest product as the BackBeat Go, presumably because they restore mobility to the everyday music lover.

They weigh just 13 grams and discreetly reside behind your neck with the in ears nestling in your lobes. Inline controls allow you to take calls, skip tracks and adjust volume without handling your smartphone or tablet.

The controls also house a microphone to take calls and digital noise reduction technology ensures phone calls are clear.

At a humble product launch, Plantronics’ National Sales Manager Pete Pertrides questioned the future of the headphone jack, inferring Bluetooth will render it obsolete. He believes the BackBeat Go is the way of tomorrow.

“The new BackBeat GO ear-buds allow users to enjoy their music, listen to movies, chat with friends and even play games via their phone or tablet, without the hassle of wires. The fit and sound quality is superb, and nothing has been compromised,” said Petrides.

Unlike dedicated headphones, the BackBeat Go seems ideal for your everyday commute and the evening run afterwards. They’re available now from Vodafone stores for $129.95.
