Angry Birds Take A Bite Out Of JB Hi Fi
The electronics store in Bunbury is a small part of the picture, with 300 residents of Sandridge Park signing a petition last year to cull the noisy birds despite being a protected native species.
While residents seek a culling of the one-thousand-and-growing population of birds that have been causing problems in the community, not all JB Hi Fi employees are on the same page.
“It is an issue that needs to be resolved but there must be another way,” local JB Hi Fi employee, Clint Jenkins told the Bunbury Mail.
This way of thinking mirrors that of the City of Sydney council which last year adamantly opposed a National Parks and Wildlife Service-permitted culling of similar cockatoos around Broadway university campuses.
