Three HP Chromebooks Coming To Oz

HP has unveiled three new Chromebooks centred around education which are reportedly on their way to Australia.

Spotted by Ausdroid, HP has revealed the new Chromebooks ahead of the upcoming BETT education show in the UK.

The new Chromebooks are built-specifically with education and students in mind, with MIL-STD810G certification — meaning they can survive a drop from up to 76cm — and have an IP41 dust/water resistance rating and a splash-resistant keyboard.

The three Chromebooks include the AMD-powered Chromebook 11A G6 Education Edition, the Chromebook x360 11 G2 Education Edition — a refresh of the G1 convertible tablet — and Chromebook 11 G7 Education Edition, both powered by Intel Celeron processors.

All three feature an 11.6-inch HD resolution display, with an option to upgrade to a touchscreen on the Chromebook 11A G6 EE.

The Chromebook x360 11 G2 also features a 360-degree hinged display while the other two models come with a durable 180-degree hinge.

According to Ausdroid, HP is releasing the Chromebooks in Australia this year from 29 January 2019, other reports state a US release in April. Pricing information is yet to be announced.
