Tesla Cuts Model 3, Model Y Prices in Australia
Tesla has slashed thousands off its entire electric vehicle range in a bid to attract Australian customers.
This comes less than six months after the EV company hiked up the price of its Model 3 and Model Y series in the face of rising inflation.
The biggest cuts come to the Model Y SUV, which sees price drops of between $1,800 for the cheaper model, to $3,400 to the high-end Model Y.
Prices for the Model 3 sedans drop from between $1,600 and $3,100.
All savings are before on-road costs, and other additionals.
A number of extras, such as red multi-coat paint, Model 3 19-inch Sport wheels, and Model Y 20-inch Induction wheels have each had $500 shaved off prices.
Tesla sold 10,877 Model 3 units in Australia last year, and 8,717 Model Y vehicles.
