Swann Smart-Series Is Designed For Home And Business DIY Security

Swann’s new Smart-Series DIY security system, combining wired video surveillance and access to wireless smart home technology, is now available in the local market.

The system comes with four weather-resistant 1080p HD cameras with 80° viewing angles and night vision of up to 30 metres, with users able to zoom in to capture details such as licence plates.

swann2Helping deter break-ins, an outdoor siren and flashing light will go off whenever activity is sensed by window/door sensors also included, while recording for more than 80 days can be undertaken via a 1 TB hard drive.

Employing the free SwannOne app, users may also be notified of intrusion, and can see and control their home or business with live viewing on PC and Mac, iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

The system can also be expanded with additional SwannOne accessories, including cameras, motion alarm sensors, sirens and smart plugs, while it is also compatible with more than 100 smart devices, including Lockwood and Kwikset smart locks, Philips Hue smart lighting and Nest thermostats.

Each Smart-Series box comes with an eight-channel smart DVR with a 1 TB hard drive, four 1080p HD wired cameras, an outdoor siren, two window/door sensors, a key fob remote control, power adaptor and splitter, mouse, theft deterrent stickers, and installation accessories and cables.

Swann states that the Smart-Series is available now for $899.95 at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and other retailers in its reseller network.
