Supercars Signs $200m Broadcast Deal with Foxtel and Seven
Supercars has signed the biggest broadcast deal in its history, securing a $200 million rights package with Foxtel Group and Seven West Media that will keep Australia’s premier motorsport series on screens until 2029.
The multi-year agreement, unveiled at the 2025 Bathurst 1000 launch in Sydney, guarantees every round of the Repco Supercars Championship will be streamed live and ad-break free on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, with races available in ultra-high definition.
Seven West Media retains free-to-air rights for marquee events including the Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 500 and Adelaide Grand Final, which will also stream via 7plus.
Industry insiders say the deal is worth around $50 million annually, with Foxtel understood to cover the bulk of the rights fees. It represents a significant uplift from the previous five-year, $200m cycle, underscoring Supercars’ growing media value.
Supercars CEO James Warburton (pictured middle) hailed the agreement as “a monumental day” for the category.

“This multi-year deal secures our future, delivers unprecedented access, and elevates how we showcase our sport,” said Warburton. “With Toyota joining the grid in 2026, a Christchurch debut, and the new Finals Series, the next phase for Supercars will be among the most exciting in our history.”
Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany (pictured left) said motorsport remains a pillar of its streaming strategy: “Nowhere else in the world can fans access every race of F1, MotoGP, NASCAR, World Superbikes and Supercars live on a single platform.”
Seven West Media CEO Jeff Howard (pictured right) emphasised the sport’s free-to-air reach: “We’ve partnered with Supercars for more than 50 years, and the addition of Toyota will be a game changer that takes this sport to another level.”
The announcement was capped off with the unveiling of the first Toyota GR Supra Supercar, which will debut on track at Bathurst this October.
With international broadcast deals already in place across 128 countries, Supercars estimates its global reach could extend to 325 million households.
