Super Mario Run Comes To Android Earlier Than Expected

After bringing in a neat $70 million in revenue over the holiday season, Nintendo’s Super Mario Run has now made the jump from iOS to Android.

Originally due to launch on Android tomorrow, Nintendo released the smartphone installment of its popular gaming franchise today instead.

Nintendo’s most-recent earnings report saw the company bounce back to a solid profit as a result of recent mobile bets like Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem: Heroes.

Given the significantly larger base of Android devices in the market, it’ll be interesting to see if Mario proves to have as big a payoff a second time around.

Their new home gaming console, the Nintendo Switch, is also expected to have a big impact on their upcoming earnings report.
