Sound United Still On Track To Be Sold After Masimo Buries Audio Sales
Sound United or as it’s been renamed Masimo Consumer is still on track to be sold to the Samsung owned Harman in the last quarter of 2025, with the US Company that still owns the former Sound United audio brands burying their overall audio results in their latest filings.
In an effort to hide the numbers relating to the sale of Marantz, Denon Bowers & Wilkins and Polk the former Sound United revenues were reclassified as “held-for-sale” and “discontinued operations.”
However, we were able to extract some information relating to their Pro audio sales after Masimo a health Company delivered 8% increases in revenues.
But despite profits being up 54%the price of Masimo stock slumped 12% over the weekend.
As for pro sales of Sound United products revenues in the quarter was $141.5 million, down $10.9 million or 7.2% as compared to revenues of $152.4 million.

While the continued deterioration of revenues at Sound United remains troubling, the Company is slashing costs and overheads with no information provided on what will happen to the Companies global operation when the two Companies are merged alongside JBL products and other Harman audio brands.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Micah Young said “Finally, the divestiture of Sound United, announced last quarter, remains on track to close by the end of the year, subject to obtaining necessary regulatory clearance.”
